About the fibre
Staple length 100-200mm Micron count 35-45
Coarse
Swaledale wool is long and strong. It is mostly used for carpets, as it is a coarse and durable wool, but we find it suitable for rugged outerwear as well.
Each bag contains 100g of wool.
Origin: United Kingdom
About the breed
Swaledale sheep are raised mainly on the sweeping, undeniably romantic landscapes of the north of England, on the moors and the hillsides.
They are usually white, but the light grey variety is known for its complexly mottled shade -- a sort of stone grey, with fallow undertones rather than brown ones.
