Opal 30 Jahre celebrates 30 years of Opal yarns.

It all began in the first generation’s workshop and the second generation’s creative studio. Transformation—turning white into color—has always been at the heart of what Opal does, a vision brought to life by their own printing facility.

After the colors are set, the yarn enjoys a soothing steam bath; then, 4,250 meters—a vibrant, multi-colored kilogram—are transformed into a steam-finished "wool cake" (naturally, calorie-free). In the final step, that initially plain white yarn becomes a magnificent ball of wool—a true labor of love. To us, wool is art; Opal represents our realized passion for wool and handicrafts—or, as we said, a genetic obsession with all things wool.

Their anniversary collection features eight magnificent, bold colorways that tell the story of their production process and passion for the Opal brand.
