The exact staple length and micron count is not known. However, typical flax fibres range from 25mm to 150mm. Our flax is sourced from the longer end of the range.

Flax is a long, strong bast fibre with a natural sheen.

Flax or linen is strong, absorbs moisture, has no allergenic properties and softens with continued use. It has a wide variety of applications. It is used in clothing, furnishings, household fabrics, yarn and rope.

Spinning flax fibre while wet will result in a softer yarn.
