Devon sheep produce a long-stapled, wavy fleece, and have a centuries-long history in the South West of England. Their wool is suitably spun for hard-wearing outer layer garments and carpets.
The average Devon wool staple length is about 20-25cm, and the fibres are 40-42 microns in diameter.
Natural white in colour. Appropriately, it’s a creamy white (Devonshire is also known for its cream).
